THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 2102 Title Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 010484 ZSK (L.U. No. 1187), grant of a special permit pursuant to Section 74-52 of the Zoning Resolution to allow an unattended public parking garage. Body By Council Members Eisland and McCaffrey WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on August 29, 2001, its decision dated August 22, 2001 (the "Decision") on the application submitted by Triangle Equities Development Company, LLC and the Economic Development Corporation, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 201 of the New York City Charter, for the grant of a special permit pursuant to Section 74-52 of the Zoning Resolution to permit an unattended public parking garage with a maximum capacity of 518 spaces on a zoning lot, bounded by Avenue H, Flatbush Avenue, the former southerly boundary of a public place and its easterly and westerly prolongations, and Nostrand Avenue (Block 7576/Lots 27, 29, and 33 and Block 7577/Lots 50 and 56), within a proposed C8-4 District, Borough of Brooklyn (ULURP No. C 010484 ZSK) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Application is related to ULURP Application Numbers C 010486 ZSK (L.U. No. 1188), a special permit pursuant to Section 74-681(a)(1) of the Zoning Resolution; C 010026 MMK (L.U. No. 1189), an amendment to the City Map; C 010483 ZMK (L.U. No. 1190), an amendment to the Zoning Map. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has made the findings required pursuant to Section 74-52 of the Zoning Resolution; WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on October 25, 2001 on the Decision and Application; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on March 23, 2001 (CEQR No. 01DME002K); and _________ Page 2 of 2 C 010484 ZSK Reso. No. 1187) WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment; and Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 200 of the New York City Charter and on the basis of the Decision and Application, the Council approves the Decision.
