THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1884 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Louis A. and Laura Stirn House located at 79 Howard Avenue, Designation List No. 323, LP-2069 (L.U. No. 1027; 20015231 HKR; N 010379 HKR). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 9, 2001 a copy of its designation dated January 30, 2001 (the "Designation"), of the Louis A. and Laura Stirn House, located at 79 Howard Avenue, Borough of Staten Island, as a landmark and Block 587/Lot 1 in part, as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on April 4, 2001, its report on the Designation dated March 28, 2001 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on April 18, 2001; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
