THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1805 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Downtown Athletic Club Building located at 19 West Street (a.k.a. 18-20 West Street and 28-32 Washington Street), Designation List No. 319, LP-2075 (L.U. No. 1014; 20015120 HKM; N 010228 HKM). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on November 22, 2000 a copy of its designation dated November 14, 2000 (the "Designation"), of the Downtown Athletic Club Building located at 19 West Street (a.k.a. 18-20 West Street and 28-32 Washington Street), Borough of Manhattan as a landmark and Block 15, Lot 19), as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on February 14, 2001, its report on the Designation dated December 27, 2000 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on March 6, 2001; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
