THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1796 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Rockefeller Guest House located at 242 East 52nd Street, Designation List No. 321, LP-2079 (L.U. No. 990; 20015157 HKQ; N 010269 HKM). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on December 15, 2000 a copy of its designation dated December 5, 2000 (the "Designation"), of the Rockefeller Guest House located at 242 East 52nd Street, Borough of Manhattan as a landmark and Block 1325, Lot 34), as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on February 6, 2001, its report on the Designation dated January 31, 2001 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on March 6, 2001; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
