THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1735 Title Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 990132 MMQ, an amendment to the City Map (L.U. No. 955). Body By Council Members Eisland and Linares WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on January 8, 2001, its decision dated December 27, 2000 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by Waterside Estates at Cresthaven, LLC, Whitestone Boosters Land Company and Catholic Charities Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 199 of the New York City Charter and Section 5-430 et seq. of the New York City Administrative Code, for an amendment to the City Map involving 1) the elimination of Powell's Cove Boulevard between 150th Street and 3rd Avenue, 2) the narrowing of Powell's Cove Boulevard between 3rd and 6th Avenues, and 3) the discontinuance and closing of portions of Powell's Cove Boulevard between 150th Street and 6th Avenue, the adjustment of grades necessitated thereby, and any acquisition or disposition of real property related thereto, Community District 7, Borough of Queens, in accordance with Map No. 4949, dated December 10, 1999 and revised July 11, 2000, and signed by the Borough President (ULURP No. C 990132 MMQ) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(1) of the City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on February 1, 2001; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on September 18, 2000 (CEQR No. 99DCP013Q); RESOLVED: The Council finds the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment. ____________ Page 2 of 2 C 990132 MMQ Reso.
