THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1732 Title Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 000304 ZMQ, a Zoning Map Change (L.U. No. 875). Body By Council Members Eisland and McCaffrey WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on January 12, 2001 its decision dated January 8, 2001 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 201 of the New York City Charter, for an amendment to the Zoning Map (ULURP No. C 000304 ZMQ) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Application is related to Applications Number C 000272 MMQ (L.U. No. 874), an amendment to the City Map and C 000305 PPQ (L.U. No. 876), a disposition of city-owned property; WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(1) of the City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on February 1, 2001; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on August 27, 1999 (CEQR No. 99DME009Q); RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment. ____________ Page 2 of 2 C 000304 ZMQ Reso. No. 1732 (L.U. No. 875) Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 200 of the City Charter and on the basis of the Decision and Application, the Council approves the Decision. The Zoning Resolution of the City of New York, effective as of December 15, 1961, and as subsequently amended, is further amended by changing the Zoning Map, Section Nos. 19b and 25a: 1. establishing an M1-1 District on a portion of former parkland bounded by the northeasterly street line of International Airport Center Boulevard, and the southeasterly, southwesterly, and westerly boundary lines of Idlewild Park; and 2. changing from an R3-2 District to an M1-1 District property bounded by International Airport Center Boulevard, the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly boundary line of Idlewild Park, the northeasterly street line of International Airport Center Boulevard, and the southerly prolongation of the Westerly boundary line of Idlewild Park; as shown on a diagram (for illustrative purposes only) dated August 7, 2000.
