THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1599 Title Resolution approving the site plan for Public School 58-R, Staten Island generally located at Marsh Avenue and Westport Street, Staten Island (Non-ULURP No. 20005218 SCR; L.U. No. 894). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on October 4, 2000, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a public school facility known as P.S. 58-Staten Island, with a 900-seat capacity serving pre-kindergarten through fifth grade generally located at Marsh Avenue and Westport Street (Block 2450, Lot 305), Borough of Staten Island (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on October 10, 2000; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued August 28, 2000 (SCA Project Number 00-15); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment; and ______________ Page 2 of 2 20005218 SCR Reso.
