Resolution No. 1492-A Title Resolution pursuant to Section 19-511.1 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York to review 14 determinations by the Taxi and Limousine Commission to approve applications for the renewal of a license to operate a base station and to review one determination by the Taxi and Limousine Commission to approve an application for a license to operate a new base station. Body By Council Members Dear and Nelson Whereas, Subdivision (g) of section 19-511 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York provides that upon receiving an application for the issuance of a license for a new base station or for the renewal of a license for a base station, the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) shall, within five business days, submit a copy of such application to the Council and to the district office of the Council Member and the Community Board for the area in which the base station is or would be located; and Whereas, Section 19-511.1 of the Administrative Code provides that any determination by TLC to approve an application for a license to operate a new base station or to renew a license to operate a base station shall be subject to review by the Council; and Whereas, Within ninety days of the first Stated Meeting following receipt of such determination and its accompanying materials, the Council may approve or disapprove such determination by local law, after having adopted a resolution to review that determination; and Whereas, Should the Council not timely adopt a resolution to review the TLC's determination or, having done so, not timely pass a local law with respect to such determination, the approval by TLC of an application to operate a new base station or for renewal of a license to operate a base station shall remain in effect; and Whereas, The Taxi and Limousine Commission made one determination to approve an application for a license to operate a new base station that was submitted to the Council as Communication from the Taxi and Limousine Commission number M-913 for Easy-Way Corporation doing business as Cleopatra Car Service 141-3 India Street in Brooklyn; and Whereas, The Taxi and Limousine Commission made 14 determinations to approve applications for renewal of a base station license that were submitted to the Council as Communications from the Taxi and Limousine Commission M-904 through M-912 and M 914 through M 916 and M-922 through M-924 for OCHS McGuinness Car Service, Inc., doing business as McGuinness Car Service, also known as OCHS McQuinnes Car Service Inc., also known as Ochs Mcquinnes Car Svc Inc., also known as OCHS McGuiness C/S I at 158 Nassau Avenue in Brooklyn; Cadman Express Car & Limousine Service Inc., also known as Cadman Express Car and Limo, Inc., also known as Cadman Express Car & Limo Svc Inc.at 78 Henry Street in Brooklyn; Twin Dispatching Inc. at 49-01 25th Avenue in Queens; Two-Way Black Cars and Radio Group Transportation, Inc., also known as Two-Way Black Cars and Radio Group Transport, Inc. at 2542 Broadway in Manhattan; Southwest Queens Dispatching Inc., doing business as Howard Car Service, at 6 Coleman Square in Queens; Koop Dispatching Inc. at 3287 Westchester Avenue in The Bronx; Watson Car Service Inc. at 1681 Bruckner Boulevard in The Bronx; All American Car Service at 6201 Fort Hamilton Parkway in Brooklyn; Rockaway Car Service of Queens Inc., doing business as Jamal Ali, Inc., also known as Jameel Ali Inc., doing business as Rockaway Car Service, also known as Jamal Ali, Inc., also known as Jamal Ali, Inc., doing business as Rockway Car Service of Queens, at 124-02 Rockaway Boulevard in Queens; Sofia, Inc., doing business as Marlboro Car Service at 1510 Newkirk Avenue in Brooklyn; Michael's Car Service, Inc. doing business as Union Limo and Car Service also known as Michael's Car Service Inc. at 311 Kingston Avenue in Brooklyn; Classic Car Service Corp. at 26-16 23rd.
