THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1454 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Hamilton Heights Historic District Extension located in the Hamilton Heights Historic District, Manhattan, Designation List No. 312, LP-2044 (L.U. No. 808; 20005374 HKM; N 000518 HKM). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on March 28, 2000 a copy of its designation dated March 28, 2000 (the "Designation"), of the Hamilton Heights Historic District Extension located in the Hamilton Heights Historic District, generally bounded by St. Nicholas Avenue, Hamilton Terrace, Convent Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on June 5, 2000, its report on the Designation dated May 31, 2000 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on June 20, 2000; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation. ___________ Page 2 of 2 20005374 HKM (N 000518 HKM) Reso.
