A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to allowing city employees to have up to thirty days paid leave of absence if they serve as an organ donor.
 
 
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 12 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 12-139 to read as follows:
§12-139 Leave of absence for city employees who serve as organ donors.  Any city employee who serves as an organ donor shall be eligible to have up to thirty days paid leave of absence.
§2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
