State Legislation Resolution No. 268 State Legislation Resolution requesting the New York State Legislature to pass bills introduced by Senator Padavan, S.8100, and Committee on Rules, A.11381, "AN ACT to amend the retirement and social security law, in relation to the determination of benefits of certain members of the New York city police pension fund, subchapter two, and the New York city fire department pension fund, subchapter two, and to repeal and re-enact subdivision g of section 443 of such law, relating to the salary base used to calculate benefits for certain members of such pension funds, and to repeal subdivision h of section 443 of such law, relating to demands in collective bargaining for the pension benefit provided by subdivision g of section 443 of such law". By The Speaker (Council Member Vallone), and Council Members Berman and Rivera; also Council Members Eisland, Michels, Perkins and Abel Whereas, bills have been introduced in the New York State Legislature by Senator Padavan, S.8100 and Committee on Rules, A.11381, "AN ACT to amend the retirement and social security law, in relation to the determination of benefits of certain members of the New York city police pension fund, subchapter two, and the New York city fire department pension fund, subchapter two, and to repeal and re-enact subdivision g of section 443 of such law, relating to the salary base used to calculate benefits for certain members of such pension funds, and to repeal subdivision h of section 443 of such law, relating to demands in collective bargaining for the pension benefit provided by subdivision g of section 443 of such law"; and Whereas, The enactment of the above State Legislation requires the concurrence of the Council of the City of New York as the local legislative body; now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Council of the City of New York, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2 of Article 9 of the Constitution of the State of New York, does hereby request the New York State Legislature to enact into law the aforesaid pending bills.
