THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1383 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the (Former) Hamilton Theater, located at 3560-3568 Broadway (a.k.a. 559-561 West 146th Street) (Block 2078, Lot 1 in part), Manhattan, Designation List No. 311, LP-2052 (L.U. No. 711; 20005237 HKM; N 000396 HKM). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 16, 2000 a copy of its designation dated February 8, 2000 (the "Designation"), of the (Former) Hamilton Theater, located at 3560-3568 Broadway (a.k.a. 559-561 West 146th Street), Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 2078, Lot 1 in part, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on April 12, 2000, its report on the Designation dated April 5, 2000 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on May 16, 2000 and recessed until May 18, 2000; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
