State Legislation Resolution No. 230 Title State Legislation Resolution requesting the New York State Legislature to pass bills introduced by Senator Goodman, S.3963, and Assembly Member Grannis, A.1218, "AN ACT to amend chapter 115 of the laws of 1894, relating to the better protection of lost and strayed animals and for securing the rights of owners thereof, in relation to authority over city's management of animals in any city having a population of over two million". Body By Council Members Freed, Miller and Stabile; also Council Members Leffler and Quinn Whereas, bills have been introduced in the New York State Legislature by Senator Goodman, S.3963, and Assembly Member Grannis, A.1218, "AN ACT to amend chapter 115 of the laws of 1894, relating to the better protection of lost and strayed animals and for securing the rights of owners thereof, in relation to authority over city's management of animals in any city having a population of over two million"; and Whereas, The enactment of the above State Legislation requires the concurrence of the Council of the City of New York as the local legislative body; now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Council of the City of New York, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2 of Article 9 of the Constitution of the State of New York, does hereby request the New York State Legislature to enact into law the aforesaid pending bills.
