Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on October 27, 1999 a copy of its designation dated October 19, 1999 (the "Designation"), of 140 West 57th Street Studio Building (The Beaufort), located at 140 West 57th Street (aka 134-140 West 57th Street), Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 1009, Lot 50, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on December 13, 1999, its report on the Designation dated December 8, 1999 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation January 10, 2000; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation. _______ Page 2 of 2 20005119 HKM (N 000173 HKM) Reso.
