THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1058 Title Resolution approving the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the NoHo Historic District, an area generally bounded by Wanamaker Place, Fourth Avenue, Cooper Square, East 4th Street, Lafayette Street, Houston Street , Mercer Street, Waverly Place and Broadway, Manhattan, Designation List No. 308, LP-2039 (L.U. No. 510) 20005014 HKM; N 000009 HKM). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 9, 1999 a copy of its designation dated June 29, 1999 (the "Designation"), of the NoHo Historic District, an area generally bounded by Wanamaker Place, Fourth Avenue, Cooper Square, East 4th Street, Lafayette Street, Houston Street, Mercer Street, Waverly Place and Broadway, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 23, 1999, its report on the Designation dated August 18, 1999 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on October 19, 1999; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council approves the Designation.
