Resolution affirming the modification of the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the New York and Long Island Coignet Stone Company Building, located at 360 Third Avenue (Tax Map Block 978, Lot 7, now Lot 7 in part), Borough of Brooklyn, Designation List No. 452-A, LP-2202-A (L.U. No. 588; 20125363 HKK; N 120185 HKK).

      WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 1, 2012 a copy of its designation dated January 24, 2012 (the "Modified Designation"), of the New York and Long Island Coignet Stone Company Building, located at 360 Third Avenue, Community District 6, Borough of Brooklyn as a landmark and Tax Map Block 978/Lot 7, now Lot 7 in part, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
 
WHEREAS, the Modified Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
 
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on March 16, 2012, its report on the Designation dated March 14, 2012 (the "Report");
 
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the modified Designation on April 3, 2012; and
 
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the modified Designation;
 
RESOLVED:
 
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the modified Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Modified Designation.
