Summary: This bill would require the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to provide, no later than October 1 of each year, a list of the addresses of residential buildings that have failed to file required registration statements to the local Council Members of the districts in which such buildings are located.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of housing preservation and development to provide notice to council members of residential buildings that have failed to file registration statements

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

Section 1. Section 27-2097 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new subdivision f to read as follows:

f. No later than October 1 of each year, the department shall send a list of the addresses of buildings whose owners failed to file a statement of registration in violation of this section to the council members of the council districts in which such buildings are located.

§ 2. This local law takes effect immediately.
