THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1958 Title Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 000414 (A) MMK, an amendment to the City Map (L.U. No. 1088). Body By Council Members Eisland and Linares WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on April 26, 2001, its decision dated April 23, 2001 (the "Decision"), on the modified application submitted by Ocean Management Corporation on February 28, 2001, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 199 of the New York City Charter, for a change in the City Map establishing two streets within the block bounded by Avenue N, Royce Street, Avenue T and East 71st Street: 1. Bergen Cove, a new street, parallel to Avenue N, extending southwestward from Royce Street to a turnaround; and 2. An extension of East 73rd Street extending northwesterly from Avenue T to Bergen Cove, and modifying grades necessitated thereby and any acquisition or disposition of real property related thereto, Community District 18, Borough of Brooklyn, in accordance with Map No. X-2648, dated March 13, 2001 and signed by the Borough President (ULURP No. C 000414 (A) MMK) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(1) of the City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on May 31, 2001; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and __________ Page 2 of 2 C 000414 (A) MMK Reso. No. 1088) WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on March 13, 2000 and revised on the modified application April 23, 2001 (CEQR No. 00DCP057K); RESOLVED: The Council finds the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment. Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 199 of the New York City Charter, the Council approves the Decision. Adopted.
