RESOLUTION NO. 597
Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the American Telephone & Telegraph Company Building, First Floor Interior, located at 195 Broadway, Manhattan, Designation List No. 379, LP-2199 (L.U. No. 274; 20075029 HKM; N 070044 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on August 4, 2006 a copy of its designation dated July 25, 2006 (the "Designation"), of the American Telephone & Telegraph Company Building, First Floor Interior, located at 195 Broadway (aka 195-207 Broadway, 2-18 Dey Street, 160-170 Fulton Street), Community District 1, Borough of Manhattan, as an historic landmark and Block 80, Lot 1, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on September 15, 2006, its report on the Designation dated September 13, 2006 (the "Report");
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on October 17, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
RESOLVED:
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
