THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK
RESOLUTION NO. 1051
Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 050219 PQM (L.U. No. 499), acquisition of easements located south of West 66th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway, Manhattan, to facilitate the construction of a pedestrian bridge and vehicular tunnel.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on May 26, 2005 its decision dated May 25, 2005 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services for the acquisition of easements located south of West 66th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway (Block 1137, Lots 10 and 7501; Block 1134, Lots 1 and 25); Community District 7, Borough of Manhattan (the "Site"), to facilitate the construction of a pedestrian bridge and vehicular tunnel (ULURP No. C 050219 PQM) (the "Application");
WHEREAS, the Application is related to Applications Numbers N 050169 ZRM (L.U. No. 496), an amendment to the text of the Zoning Resolution; C 050098 MMM (L.U. No. 497), an amendment to the City Map; and C 050170 GFM (L.U. No. 498), a revocable consent allowing the installation of information signage on a public sidewalk;
WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(2) and (3) of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on June 15, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application;
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on December 20, 2004 (CEQR No. 05DCP019M);

RESOLVED:
The Council finds that the actions described herein will have no significant effect on the environment;
Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and Decision, the Council approves the Decision.
