THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1050

 

Resolution approving the disposition of the Brewster Waste Water Treatment Plant (“Brewster WWTP”) and the parcel of land underlying it to the Village of Brewster, located in Putnam County (20085047 PPO; L.U. No. 542).

 

By Council Member Katz and Garodnick

 

                           WHEREAS, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services and the Department of Environmental Protection filed with the Council on August 22, 2007, notice of the Mayor's authorization dated April 23, 2007 of the disposition of the Brewster Waste Water Treatment Plant (“Brewster WWTP”) to the Village of Brewster located in Putnam County, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and upon terms and conditions set forth in the Resolution of the New York City Water Board attached hereto as Exhibit B (the “Disposition”);

 

                           WHEREAS, the Disposition is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 72-h of the New York State General Municipal Law;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Disposition on September 5, 2007; and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered policy issues relating to the Disposition;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                           Pursuant to Section 72-h of the General Municipal Law, the Council approves the Disposition.
