No. 1208), site selection of property above a portion of West 56th Street and for site selection and acquisition of property located at the northeasterly corner of West 55th Street and Twelfth Avenue, Manhattan, for use as a sanitation garage.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on October 9, 2001 its decision dated September 25, 2001 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Department of Sanitation and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services for site selection of property above a portion of West 56th Street and for site selection and acquisition of property located at the northeasterly corner of West 55th Street and Twelfth Avenue (Block 1103/Lot 10), Borough of Manhattan (the "Site"), for use as a sanitation garage (ULURP No. C 000353 PCM) (the "Application");
WHEREAS, the Application are related to Applications Number C 000354 ZMM (L.U. No. 705), an amendment to the Zoning Map; C 010098 MMM (L.U. No. 1207), change to the City Map; and C 000355 ZSM/C 000356 ZSM (L.U. Nos. 1209 and 1210), grant of special permits pursuant to Sections 74-743 and 74-746 of the Zoning Resolution;
WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on October 24, 2001;
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration issued on September 20, 2000 (CEQR No. 00DOS005M); and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application;

The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.
Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and Decision, the Council approves the Decision.
