State Legislation Resolution No. 45
State Legislation Resolution requesting the New York State Legislature to pass a bill introduced by Senator Padavan S.2180 and Assembly Member McLaughlin A.4365, “AN ACT in relation to the participation of part-time employees in the New York city employees’ retirement system and the New York city board of education retirement system and permitting a reopening period allowing any school crossing guard employee in the police department to join the pension plan provided for by the board of education retirement system (BERS) or the New York city employees’ retirement system (NYCERS).”

Whereas a bill has been introduced in the New York State Legislature by Senator Padavan S.2180 and Assembly Member McLaughlin A.4365, AN ACT in relation to the participation of part-time employees in the New York city employees’ retirement system and the New York city board of education retirement system and permitting a reopening period allowing any school crossing guard employee in the police department to join the pension plan provided for by the board of education retirement system (BERS) or the New York city employees’ retirement system (NYCERS);” and
Whereas, the enactment of the above State Legislation requires the concurrence of the Council of the City of New York as the local legislative body; now, therefore be it
Resolved, that the Council of the City of New York, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2 of the Article 9 of the Constitution of the State of New York, does hereby request the New York State Legislature to enact into law the aforesaid pending bill.
