THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1305 Title Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 000211 PSK (L.U. No. 627), site selection of property located at 1454, 1458, 1460, 1462, 1466, 1470, 1472, 1476, 1480 and 1484 Gates Avenue; and 327, 325, 323, 321, 319, 317, 315, 313, and 311 Palmetto Street (Block 3344/Lots 16-23, 25, 26 and 40-49), Brooklyn, for use as a community center. Body By Council Members Eisland and Linares WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on March 20, 2000 its decision dated March 15, 2000 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development for site selection of property located at 1454, 1458, 1460, 1462, 1466, 1470, 1472, 1476, 1480 and 1484 Gates Avenue; and 327, 325, 323, 321, 319, 317, 315, 313, and 311 Palmetto Street (Block 3344/Lots 16-23, 25, 26 and 40-49), Borough of Brooklyn (the "Site"), for use as a community center (ULURP No. C 000211 PSK) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Application is related to ULURP application number C 000210 HAK (L.U. No. 626), an Urban Action Area Designation and Project and related disposition of property; WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on April 4, 2000; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the negative declaration issued on November 12, 1999 (CEQR No. 00HPD005K); and ________________ Page 2 of 2 C 000211 PSK Reso. No. 627) WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.
