THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1592 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of Fire House, Hook and Ladder 17, located at 341 East 143rd Street, the Bronx, Designation List No. 315, LP-2046 (L.U. No. 846; 20005458 HKX; N 000684 HKX). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on June 29, 2000 a copy of its designation dated June 20, 2000 (the "Designation"), of Fire House, Hook and Ladder 17 (also now Engine Company 60), located at 341 East 143rd Street, Borough of the Bronx, as a landmark and Block 2306, Lot 52, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 30, 2000 its report on the Designation dated August 23, 2000 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on October 10, 2000; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
