THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 687 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Samuel Pell House located at 586 City Island Avenue, the Bronx, Designation List No. 340, LP-2115 (L.U. No. 353; 20035114 HKX; N 030196 HKX). Body By Council Members Katz and Felder WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on November 8, 2002 a copy of its designation dated October 29, 2002 (the "Designation"), of the Samuel Pell House located at 586 City Island Avenue, Community District 10, Borough of the Bronx as a landmark and Block 5635/Lot 73 as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on December 24, 2002 its report on the Designation dated December 16, 2002 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on January 14, 2003; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation. _________ Adopted.
