THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 947

 

Resolution approving an amendment to a previously approved lease to increase the measurement of the parcel of land including the nurses residence and an adjacent vacant cottage, consisting of 286,252 square feet, on the Campus of Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home (20075546 HHR; L.U. No. 478), Staten Island.

                           WHEREAS, the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, filed with the Council on June 7, 2007 notice of the Board of Directors authorization dated June 1, 2007 of the subleasing agreement to the Park Lane at Sea View LP of a parcel of land consisting of approximately 286,252 square feet including the nurses residence and an adjacent vacant cottage on the campus of Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home, Community District 2, Borough of Staten Island, upon terms and conditions set forth in the Health and Hospitals Corporation resolution authorizing the subleasing, a copy of which is attached hereto (the "Subleasing");

 

                           WHEREAS, the Subleasing is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 7385(6) of the Health and Hospitals Corporation Act;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Subleasing on June 19, 2007;

 

                     WHEREAS, the original lease was adopted by the Council on December 8, 2005 (Resolution No. 1287, L.U. No. 642, 20065113 HHR);

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use and financial implications and other policy issues relating to the Subleasing;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                           Pursuant to Section 7385(6) of the Health and Hospitals Corporation Act, the Council approves the Subleasing upon the terms and conditions set forth in the Board of Directors’ resolution authorizing the Leasing, a copy of which is attached hereto.
