A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York in relation to requests for tree planting on city property

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 18 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 18-105.3 to read as follows:

§ 18-105.3 Tree planting requests. Notwithstanding any process the department has developed to determine the funding, location and time of tree plantings on property owned by the city, the department shall allow the submission of requests by council members and members of the public for the planting of trees on city owned property that supplement tree plantings determined under such process, and consider the feasibility of each such requested planting.  

§ 2. This local law takes effect 180 days after it becomes law.
