RESOLUTION NO. 458
Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Greenwich Village Historic District Extension, Manhattan, Designation List No. 373, LP-2184 (L.U. No. 206; 20065513 HKM; N 060489 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on May 12, 2006 a copy of its designation dated May 2, 2006 (the "Designation"), of the Greenwich Village Historic District Extension properties generally bounded by a line beginning at the northeast corner of Washington Street and Christopher Street, extending easterly along the northern curbline of Christopher Street to a point in the center of the intersection of Christopher Street and Greenwich Street, then extending northerly along a line in the middle of the roadbed of Greenwich Street to a point in the center of the intersection of Greenwich Street and Perry Street, westerly along a line in the middle of the roadbed of Perry Street to a point on a line extending northerly from the southeast corner of Perry Street and Washington Street, southerly along said line and southerly along the eastern curbline of Washington Street, easterly along the northern curbline of Charles Street to a point on a line extending northerly from the western property line of 134-136 Charles Street, southerly along said line and the western property line of 134-136 Charles Street, westerly along the northern property line of 273 West 10th Street and part of the property line of 277 West 10th Street (aka 275-283 West 10th Street, 667-675 Washington Street), southerly along the western property line of 277 West 10th Street (aka 275-283 West 10th Street, 667-675 Washington Street), westerly along part of the northern property line of 277 West 10th Street (aka 275-283 West 10th Street, 667-675 Washington Street) to the eastern curbline of Washington Street, and southerly along the eastern curbline of Washington Street, to the point of beginning, Community District 2, Borough of Manhattan, as a historic district pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on June 23, 2006 its report on the Designation dated June 21, 2006 (the "Report");
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on July 17, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
RESOLVED:
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
