THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1763 Tile Resolution approving the site plan for Public School 253-Queens, to be located at 1295 Central Avenue, Far Rockaway, Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20015121 SCQ; L.U. No. 976). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on February 7, 2001, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a public school facility known as P.S. 253-Q, a primary school with a capacity of 704 seats, to serve pre-kindergarten through fifth grades, Community School District 27, to be located at 1295 Central Avenue, Far Rockaway (Block 15541/Lot 1), Borough of Queens (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on February 13, 2001; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued January 5, 2001 (SCA Project Number 01-001); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment; and ___________ Page 2 of 2 20015121 SCQ Reso.
