THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1505 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Swift, Seaman & Co. Building located at 122 Chambers Street/52 Warren Street, Manhattan, Designation List No. 313, LP-2061 (L.U. No. 800; 20005438 HKM; N 000612 HKM). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on May 26, 2000 a copy of its designation dated May 16, 2000 (the "Designation"), of the Swift, Seaman & Co. Building, located at 122 Chambers Street/52 Warren Street, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 136, Lot 10, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on July 14, 2000, its report on the Designation dated July 12, 2000 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on August 21, 2000; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
