THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 2080 Title Resolution approving the site plan for Public School 244-Queens (P.S.244-Q), to be located generally at 137-20 and 138-02 Franklin Avenue, Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20015387 SCQ; L.U. No. 1191). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on September 25, 2001, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a public school facility known as P.S. 244-Queens, an early childhood center with a capacity of up to 400 seats to serve kindergarten through third grades, Community School District 25, to be located generally at 137-20 and 138-02 Franklin Avenue (Block 5137/Lots 43 and 54), Flushing, Borough of Queens (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on October 2, 2001; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration issued on August 17, 2001 (SCA Project Number 01-013); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment; Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan. _________ Page 2 of 2 20015387 SCQ Reso.
