RESOLUTION NO. 769
Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of James W. and Lucy S. Elwell House located at 70 Lefferts Place (Block 2019/Lot 16), Brooklyn, Designation List No. 384, LP 2215 (L.U. No. 382; 20075186 HKK; N 070249 HKK).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on December 20, 2006 a copy of its designation dated December 12, 2006 (the "Designation"), of James W. and Lucy S. Elwell House located at 70 Lefferts Place, Community District 2, Borough of Brooklyn, as a historic landmark and Block 2019/Lot 16, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on February 14, 2007, its report on the Designation dated February 7, 2007 (the "Report");
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on March 6, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
RESOLVED:
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
