THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1602 Title Resolution approving the site plan for a High School for Law, Government and Justice, Bronx-New School, to be located at 163rd Street between Sherman and Grant Avenues, the Bronx (Non-ULURP No. 20005433 SCX; L.U. No. 899). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on October 4, 2000, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a public school facility known as the High School for Law, Government and Justice (Bronx-New School), with a capacity of 733 seats to be located at 163rd Street between Sherman and Grant Avenues (Block 2445/Lots 6, 9, and 15), Borough of the Bronx (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on October 10, 2000; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued August 28, 2000 (SCA Project Number 00-017); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment; and ______________ Page 2 of 2 20005433 SCX Reso.
