Title:
A Local Law in relation to requiring district attorneys of counties within the city of New York to report on the existence of do-not-call lists of members of the city's police department
Summary:
This bill would require each of the city’s District Attorneys to report to the Speaker of the Council and the Civilian Complaint Review Board whether they keep a list of members of the Police Department who could present credibility issues if called as a witness in a legal proceeding. If such a list is kept, the bill would require the District Attorney to report further on the type of documents and other information used to compile the list.
