RESOLUTION NO. 602
Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Hecla Iron Works Building, located at 100-118 North 11th Street (Block 2296, Lot 14 in part), Brooklyn, Designation List No. 354, LP-2146 (L.U. No. 214; 20045689 HKK; N 040536 HKK).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on June 17, 2004 a copy of its designation dated June 8, 2004 (the "Designation"), of the Hecla Iron Works Building, located at 100-118 North 11th Street, Community District 1, Borough of Brooklyn as a landmark and Block 2296, Lot 14 in part as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 9, 2004 its report on the Designation dated July 28, 2004 (the "Report");
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 7, 2004 and recessed until September 21, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
RESOLVED:
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
