THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1257 Title Resolution approving the site plan for Public School 242 - Queens, an early childhood center, to be located at 136-11 31st Road, Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20005196 SCQ; L.U. No. 669). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on January 18, 2000, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for Public School 242-Queens, an early childhood center, with a capacity of up to 350 seats for Community School District 7 to be located at 136-11 31st Road (Block 4371, Lots 168 and 173), Borough of Queens (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on March 8, 2000, recessed until March 9, 2000; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued January 14, 2000 (SCA Project Number 00-001); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment; and _____________ Page 2 of 2 20005196 SCQ Reso.
