RESOLUTION NO. 240

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the 143 Allen Street House, located at 143 Allen Street (Block 415, Lot 23), Borough of Manhattan, Designation List No. 426, LP-2350; L.U. No. 89; 20105414 HKM (N 100248 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 19, 2010 a copy of its designation dated February 9, 2010 (the "Designation"), of the 143 Allen Street House, located at 143 Allen Street, Community District 3, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Tax Map Block 415, Lot 23, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on April 16, 2010 its report on the Designation dated April 14, 2010 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on May 4, 2010; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
