State Legislation Resolution No. 24
State Legislation Resolution requesting the New York State Legislature to pass a bill introduced by Senator Sampson S.2158, “An Act authorizing the city of New York to reconvey its interest in certain real property acquired by in rem tax foreclosure in the borough of Brooklyn to former owner Elva McZeal Tenants Association Development Fund Corporation, not withstanding expiration of the two year period within which application may be made to the city to release its interest in property thus acquired; Block No. 3785 Lots No.1 and No.75 on the tax map of the borough of Brooklyn.”

Whereas a bill has been introduced in the New York State Legislature by Senator Sampson S.2158, “An ACT authorizing the city of New York to reconvey its interest in certain real property acquired by in rem tax foreclosure in the borough of Brooklyn to former owner Elva McZeal Tenants Association Development Fund Corporation, not withstanding expiration of the two year period within which application may be made to the city to release its interest in property thus acquired; Block No. 3785 Lot No.1 and No. 75 on the tax map of the borough of Brooklyn”; and
Whereas, the enactment of the above State Legislation requires the concurrence of the Council of the City of New York as the local legislative body; now, therefore be it
Resolved, that the Council of the City of New York, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2 of the Article 9 of the Constitution of the State of New York, does hereby request the New York State Legislature to enact into law the aforesaid pending bill.
