A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to prohibiting restaurants from providing disposable service articles for on-premise eating and drinking use.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

 

                         Section one.  Title 16 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding a new section 16-119.1, to follow section 16-119, to read as follows:

                         §16-119.1.  Disposable service articles prohibited.  No restaurant shall provide disposable or non-reusable knives, forks, spoons, glasses, cups, plates and bowls, for food and beverage consumption on the premises of the restaurant.

                         §2.                      This local law shall take effect ninety days after is enactment into law.
