Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 000272 MMQ, an amendment to the City Map (L.U. No. 874).

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on January 12, 2001 its decision dated January 8, 2001 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the Department of Parks and Recreation, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 199 of the New York City Charter, for a change in the City Map involving, the elimination of a portion of Idlewild Park, the establishment of International Airport Center Boulevard between 182nd Street and Brookville Boulevard, the elimination of a public place and the establishment of it as park, the adjustment of grades necessitated thereby, and any acquisition or disposition of property related thereto, Community District 13, Borough of Queens, in accordance with Map No. 4954, dated May 11, 2000 and signed by the Borough President (ULURP No. C 000272 MMQ) (the "Application");
WHEREAS, the Application is related to Applications Number C 000304 ZMQ (L.U. No. 875), an amendment to the Zoning Map and C 000305 PPQ (L.U. No. 876), a disposition of city-owned property;
WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on February 1, 2001;
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative declaration, issued on August 27, 1999 (CEQR No. 99DME009Q);

RESOLVED:
The Council finds the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.
Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 199 of the New York City Charter, the Council approves the Decision.
