RESOLUTION NO. 607

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the 129 MacDougal Street House, located at 129 MacDougal Street (Block 543, Lot 58), Manhattan, Designation List No. 354, LP-2150 (L.U. No. 241; 20045686 HKM; N 040533 HKM).

                     WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on June 17, 2004 a copy of its designation dated June 8, 2004 (the "Designation"), of the 129 MacDougal Street House, located at 129 MacDougal Street, Community District 2, Borough of Manhattan as a landmark and Block 543, Lot 58 as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on July 30, 2004 its report on the Designation dated July 28, 2004 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 7, 2004 and recessed until September 21, 2004; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
