Introduction This bill would institute term limits for community board members. Under current law, there is no limit on the number of consecutive two-year terms for which community board members may be appointed and serve. Under this bill, community board members appointed for a first term beginning on April 1, 2016 or later would be permitted to serve for a maximum of six consecutive terms (twelve years) before they could no longer serve.
