Int 1208-2025 *Jennifer Gutiérrez  Report on air conditioning in homeless shelters.IntroductionThis bill would require the Commissioner of Homeless Services, in coordination with the Commissioner of Social Services, Commissioner of Housing Preservation and Development, and Commissioner of Youth and Community Development, to issue a one-time report to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council on the availability of air conditioning in homeless shelters. The report would, in part, include information on which shelters have any air conditioning, which have air conditioning in only some areas of the shelter, which have air conditioning throughout the shelter, the type of air conditioning provided, which shelters have air conditioning that needs repair, which shelters installed air conditioning during the past 12 months, and which shelters are planning to install air conditioning within the next 12 months. Int 1232-2025 *Chris Banks  Notifications for emergency rental assistance grant approvals.IntroductionThis bill would require the Human Resources Administration (“HRA”) to provide an automated text message or email notification upon the approval of an application for the Emergency Assistance Grant Program pertaining to rental assistance. Such approval notification shall be delivered to the tenant applying for assistance and the building owner or managing agent designated by the building owner to collect rental payments from the applicant, to the extent that such information is provided in the application.
