A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring notification to community boards and council members of applications for new construction and demolition permits.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

Section 1. Section 27-191 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by lettering the existing section as subdivision a and adding a new subdivision b to read as follows:

b. The department shall, within five business days of receipt of an application pursuant to section 27-157 or section 27-168 of this code, notify the community board and council member in whose district the property in question is located of the receipt of such application. Such notice shall contain a general description of the proposed work, the proposed occupancy and the number of units, and the location.

§2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment.
