A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the storage of salt for purposes of snow removal.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

                     Section 1.  Section 16-126 of title 16 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new subdivision e to read as follows:

                     (e)  All salt stored for purposes of snow removal shall be stored in impermeable, weather-proof containers of a type approved by the commissioner.

                     §2.  This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law.
