A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to publishing on http://www.nyc.gov a registry containing information on parking permits issued to New York city officials, officers and employees.
 
 
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
 
      Section 1.  Chapter 1 of title 12 of the administrative code of the city of New York shall be amended by adding a new section 12-140 to read as follows:
§12-140.  Publication of parking permit registry.  (a) The mayor shall make available through a link on the first page of http://www.nyc.gov an on-line registry for all parking permits issued to city officials, officers and employees.  The registry shall contain the following information for each parking permit: (1) the name and title of each recipient; (2) the permit number; (3) the issuing agency or office; and (4) the purpose for which it was issued.  
(b) The on-line registry shall be updated on a monthly basis.   
(c) Exceptions. The names of the following parking permit recipients shall not be published on the registry created by this section:  (1) victims of domestic violence; and (2) any person whose name must be kept confidential due to security reasons as determined by the commissioner of the New York Police Department.
§2. This local law shall take effect six months after its enactment into law.
