RESOLUTION NO. 1321

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of Flatbush District No. 1 School (later Public School 90), located at 2274 Church Avenue (Block 5103, Lot 58 in part), Borough of Brooklyn, Designation List No. 398, LP-2285 (L.U. No. 675; 20085214 HKK (N 080196 HKK).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on November 28, 2007 a copy of its designation dated November 20, 2007 (the "Designation"), of Flatbush District No. 1 School (later Public School 90), located at 2274 Church Avenue (aka 2274-2286 Church Avenue, 2192-2210 Bedford Avenue), Community District 14, Borough of Brooklyn, as a landmark and Block 5103, Lot 58 in part, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on January 11, 2008 its report on the Designation dated January 9, 2008 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on March 4, 2008; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
