THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1106

 

Resolution approving the site plan for an approximately 700-seat high school facility (Formerly P.S. 99, Bronx) located at 1180 Rev. James A. Polite Avenue (Block 2692, Lot 14), the Bronx (Non-ULURP No. 20085025 SCX; L.U. No. 581).

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on October 5, 2007, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for an approximately 700-seat high school facility (conversion of Former P.S. 99-Bronx), located at 1180 Rev. James A. Polite Avenue (Block 2692, Lot 14), in DOE Instructional Region No. 2/Community School District No. 2, Community Board No. 12, Borough of the Bronx (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on October 9, 2007

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration issued October 4, 2007 (SEQR Project Number 08-003); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                          The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment; and

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
