RESOLUTION NO. 946

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the first floor interior of the Jackie Robinson (Colonial Park) Play Center Bath House located at West 145th -West 155th Streets, Bradhurst and Edgecombe Avenues (Block 2052, Lot 1), Designation List No. 390, LP-2239 (L.U. No. 474; 20075412 HKM (N 070439 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on April 23, 2007, a copy of its designation dated April 10, 2007 (the "Designation"), of the first floor interior of the Jackie Robinson (Colonial Park) Play Center Bath House located at West 145th -West 155th Streets, Bradhurst and Edgecombe Avenues, Community District 10, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 2052, Lot 1, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on May 25, 2007 its report on the Designation dated May 23, 2007 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on June 19, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
